Program Goals and Objectives

The following Program Goals and Objectives are monitored to assure that the quality of the program is maintained. Outcomes data for these goals and objectives is available by contacting the Program Director at Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship at P.O. Box 148, Hingham, MA 02043.

To prepare program graduates to practice competently at entry level and who are able to convey information appropriate for the target market.

  • Over a five year period, the program’s first time pass rate on the RD/RDN exam will be 80%.
  • Over a five year period, the program’s one year pass rate on the RD/RDN registration examination will be 90%.
  • Over a five year period, 90% of program graduates will complete the program within 36 weeks. Usual time = 32 weeks (includes 1 week vacation & 1 week makeup if needed).
  • Over a five year period, 80% of program graduates who respond will have been employed in a dietetics related position within twelve months of program completion.
  • Over a five year period, 80% of employers of graduates who respond will report that the performance level of the graduate meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Over a five year period, 100% of program graduates will agree that they were prepared to convey information appropriate for the market served.
  • Over a five year period, 100% of employers of graduates who respond will report that the performance level of the graduates meets or exceeds expectations in the graduate’s ability to provide information appropriate for the target market.

To prepare graduates beyond entry level competence to enter positions in the field of dietetics for Registered Dietitians/Nutritionists in which there is potential employment growth, where Registered Dietitians/Nutritionists have been under utilized, including but not limited to socioeconomic, geographic, diagnosis or business related concerns.

  • Over a five year period, 50% of program graduates who respond will report that they hold positions for which their chosen Internship concentration areas impacted their employment favorably.
  • Over a five year period, 50% of program graduates who respond will report that they have acquired a professional credential beyond the RD/RDN or entered graduate school, or intend to do so.
