Graduate Degree Programs

Optional Masters Opportunities

Priority Nutrition Care partners with colleges and universities to assist our interns with graduate opportunities and continuing education.

What Type of Program is Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship?

Priority Nutrition Care Distance Dietetic Internship is an independent Dietetic Internship, privately owned and operated, the successful completion of which will make you eligible to take the Registration Examination for Registered Dietitians.

A Master's Degree is Not Yet Required

There has been a lot of confusing information about the future requirement of a Master’s degree to be a Registered Dietitian. You do not need a Master’s degree to make you eligible to take the Registration Exam until January 1, 2024. If you receive an Internship Verification Statement before that date, you will be eligible to take the exam at ANY time in the future. Your Internship Verification Statement does not expire.

If you enter our internship anytime between now and June 2023, you will have enough time to complete our 25 week program in time to be allowed to take the registration exam without a masters degree, assuming you meet all program requirements.

If you satisfactorily complete all of the internship requirements of our Program by December 15, 2023, you will be awarded a verification statement. You will be able to take the Registration Exam without a Master’s Degree at any time in the future.

Options for Interns Who Wish to Pursue a Future Master's Degree

Priority Nutrition Care is continuously seeking opportunities for our Interns to further their educations through the pursuit of Master’s Degrees. When a Master’s is required, the degree can be in any area.

At this time, Priority Nutrition Care has relationships with two universities which offer Master’s Programs through which they offer opportunities to our Interns to complete rigorous Programs with benefits which include either credits (awarded by the University) toward their degrees or course discounts.
